WLS Career Coaching Services offers specialized programs to guide you on your career path. Programs are focused on helping adults in career transition, seeking work pre or post retirement, or recent college graduates determining their career direction. Career Development seminars, interactive workshops, and career related speaker events are offered throughout the year facilitated by professional career coaches.

Phyllis Blake

Phyllis Blake

Phyllis Blake is a career development professional who offers her clients the encouragement to pursue their career aspirations through understanding their values and experience. She works with individuals to help them realize their potential and expertise to develop strategic steps for achieving their goals.

Phyllis is currently the Director of Career Coaching Services at the Westchester Library System (WLS), and has been a seminar and workshop facilitator since 2021. She develops programming on trending career focused topics and collaborates with member libraries and community organizations to offer innovative programming to their communities.

Her experience is in Higher Education Career Development and Corporate Human Resources, including employee relations, recruitment, and benefits administration. She is skilled in assessment, career guidance and job search strategies.

Phyllis holds an MBA in Human Resources Management & Services and a BBA in Business Administration, both from Iona University.

Elaine Dreyer

Elaine Dreyer

Elaine Dreyer focuses on supporting people as they navigate and address career concerns. Incorporating strong experience with coaching tools and a clinical background, Elaine empowers clients to articulate their goals and to take concrete steps toward achieving them. She creates space to step back, reflect, and examine what success and progress look like for each individual. A creative thinker with great listening skills, Elaine brings a knowledgeable, engaging, and resourceful approach to her coaching work.

Her extensive experience includes positions as an outplacement consultant with JPMorganChase Bank and Mullin International.  She has been a WLS facilitator since 2010 and has also provided specialized workshops in addition to her private career coaching practice. She has a Master of Social Work from New York University, is certified to administer and interpret the MBTI, and is certified by The Career Coach Institute and MentorCoach.

Marie Montuori-Riffel

Marie Montuori-Riffel

Marie is an experienced Career Coach whose extensive background in the corporate, non-profit, and higher education sectors has enabled her to work successfully with diverse professionals from a variety of job functions and industries. She guides them to define clear visions for their next position, develop practical action plans, and create clear messages as to how they add value. One of her strengths is helping professionals bridge past experiences and expand their network to discover future opportunities.

In addition to her private Career Coaching practice, Marie has been a Career Coach with WLS for the past six years, also facilitating group seminars and workshops. Previously, she held positions as Director of Career Development in higher education, Corporate Human Resources Recruiter as well as Team Leader for a start-up global career program. Marie has a Master’s Degree in Educational Counseling from Fordham University and acquired certifications in Career Coaching, the Myers Briggs Type Indicator and the Strong Interest Inventory.
